Paul Iyogun Daily Inspired Nuggets
When I arrived the United States with my family, all I
had left on me was 25cents (less than N50 at the time). I was so broke, we
couldn't leave the airport without our host coming to get us.
Things have definitely changed for my family and I since
that time and part of the reason is that there was submission to the MENTORS
that God placed in our paths here.
Without submission to mentors, young people have no
business in taking up the leadership mantle at any level. @PaulInspires.
Banks have strong rooms to safely store jewelries,
documents and the likes. If you analyze human progress or journey, you will
realize that many have fallen to places where they know that God's purpose has
not happened in their lives. Many dreams have been dashed due to a scarcity of
mentoring and the reason is this: THOSE WHO HAVE MADE IT, DO NOT TAKE TIME TO
REACH BACK TO THOSE WHO WANT TO MAKE IT. Offer the wisdom with which you came
through your trials to others and watch the world get better. @PaulInspires.
The access to the strong room is placed as keys in the
hands of several people who have to unlock the strong room in a particular
combination. If one person is unavailable, the others do not get access.
Mentors are the holder of keys to the strong room that
make up the destiny of many. CHOOSE MENTORS WISELY. @PaulInspires. With the
outpour of tributes for Faye Mooney, a British aid worker killed during an
attack on Kajuru Castle in Kaduna State, continuing, Nigerian leaders and the
media have been largely silent on the identity of the Nigerian killed in the
same attack.
I have earned the respect of people here in the USA
because I chose to spend time with my Wife and kids instead of gracing an
appointment through which I would make money.
Its hypocrisy to love others at the expense of your own.
@PaulInspires. Viruses are very intelligent. They can think. They do things
that we do not expect. They adapt to the environment. They change themselves in
order to survive.
Smart virus like HIV attempts to keep its host alive for
as long as possible while others like the Ebola kill their host within weeks.
Fleecing Nigeria and Nigerians so carelessly leaves no
Nigeria for anyone: even viruses are smart enough to know this. @PaulInspires. Anyone
who truly cares about Nigeria will treat her and its citizens with dignity and
respect.
Some politicians claim to be patriots yet throw
Nigerians under the bus when they ought to highlight the problem without
condemning the citizens. Although there are usually a few bad apples in every
bag, there is NO NEED to generalize the rottenness.
Protect your country’s position, image and reputation by
representing all the good about Nigeria. Stand up in her defense. @PaulInspires
Society plays an
important role in shaping an individual’s character. It shapes our ideas of
wrong & right and our general outlook on life.
If crime is prevalent, people may accept it as normal,
and might even indulge in it eventually JUST TO SURVIVE instead of being the
odd one.
Try to imagine your behavior separate from your culture.
Do that by imagining a different set of rules for bribery, kickbacks,
corruption, cybercrime, election fraud (which are not a Nigerian thing) @ PaulInspires.
When money leaves your hand as an investment to help
others, the onus is on the beneficiary to do right.
At my place of work, I am entitled to my hourly wage but
my Boss chose to bless me over time with cars and monetary gifts. I believe
that these kind of gifts have a lot to do with obedience to God's leading to
release funds to others and humility & integrity before those sent to help
me too.
Who does an impostor REALLY cheat if you are led by God
to bless him/her? Psalm 34:8 @PaulInspires. Our actions are a ripple effect in
the lives of those after us.
Five Nigerian men have reportedly been arrested in the
United Arab Emirate, UAE for allegedly stealing Dh 2.3 million Dinars (N225m)
from a Bureau de Change.
Male Nigerians living abroad have to put in extra effort
to prove themselves. IS ANYONE GETTING THE MESSAGE YET? @PaulInspires
What you bring to the table in any relationship
determines your relevance to those in the relationship.
AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, BE THE ONE WHO BRINGS THE TABLE
everyone else brings something to. @PaulInspires.
Nigerians living abroad are expected to invest back
home. Personally, I have lost investment funds (running into millions of Naira)
not only to business acquaintances but also to family members.
While I have forgiven, the few bad eggs have ruined the
chances of many others who would have done right. I WILL NOT INVEST IN NIGERIA.
Until integrity and the fear of God becomes priority
over profit, Nigerians will continue to have a bad name before the world and
her own people abroad. @PaulInspires. Need I say more. @PaulInspires.
